We have urbanized as a species in a perilous and unprecedentedly short period of time. Almost half our world--over three billion people--live on less than $2.50 a day with more than half of us (53 percent) crammed in urban spaces. The frenzied streets of cities like Dhaka, Cairo, Bamako or Mumbai tell truths about humanity and our future that cannot be mollified, painted over or hidden away as is often done in the first world. Cities are confounding, hectic collages of cultural intricacy, where humanity's traits of tradition, ingenuity, fortitude and desperation are highlighted in equal measure. Cities offer our best and our worst and most of all a lucid glimpse into our future.

I am compelled creatively by an ever deepening fascination in humanity's relationship with our most complex and crowded urban environments. My creative mission has been molded overtime by my countless hours spent exploring cities across the world. What began as a creative avocation within Morocco's  walled-cities has broadened to focus on our planet's most congested urban spaces.  It is within my growth as an artist that I became fascinated by the spontaneous moments of balance and harmony in the most hectic of places, where thousands of human pursuits converge at once in places where the virtue of hard work is not just revered, but paramount to human survival. I aim to fill my frame or canvas with these momentary collages of humanity, meticulously crafted to capture the complex and vibrant stratums of urban life in our ever crowded world.
